Whiskey Lullaby
She put him out like the burnin' end of a midnight cigarette
She broke his heart he spent his whole life tryin' to forget
We watched him drink his pain away a little at a time
But he never could get drunk enough to get her off his mind
Until the night
1st Chorus
He put that bottle to his head and pulled the trigger
And finally drank away her memory
Life is short but this time it was bigger
Than the strength he had to get up off his knees
We found him with his face down in the pillow
With a note that said I'll love her till I die
And when we buried him beneath the willow
The angels sang a whiskey lullaby
lalalalalalala
lalalalalalala
lalalalalalala
lalalalalalala
The rumors flew but nobody knew how much she blamed herself
For years and years she tried to hide the whiskey on her breath
She finally drank her pain away a little at a time
But she never could get drunk enough to get him off her mind
Until the night
2nd Chorus
She put that bottle to her head and pulled the trigger
And finally drank away his memory
Life is short but this time it was bigger
Than the strength she had to get up off her knees
We found her with her face down in the pillow
Clinging to his picture for dear life
We laid her next to him beneath the willow
While the angels sang a whiskey lullaby
lalalalalalala
lalalalalalala
lalalalalalala
lalalalalalala
Whiskey Lullaby has got to be one of the saddest song ever written in country music. Alison Kraus and Brad Paisley definitely hit many hearts with this song. Its about two young lovers that have ended up broken up, and the boy cannot deal with the loss of the girl, so he turns to alcohol to attempt to drown away any thought of her. Yet it fails and done night he had enough and he passes away. He committed suicide with a note written to her. When the girl gets news of what happens she cannot take it, and she attempts to also drown away her pain in alcohol. One night she finally drank enough to where she also died but instead of a note she dies clinging to his picture. She cannot live without him and her last image is that picture of him. Even though it is never good to turn to any type of alcohol to solve problems the story behind the song is so touching it will literally bring tears to your eyes because you know somewhere out there someone experienced that same thing and is no longer here. Love does weird and crazy things to a person but you never really wish for it to be the death of a person. No one wants that to happen to anyone... Losing the one you love is the ultimate loss that people never truly get over.

What Hurts the Most
What Hurts The Most lyrics
Songwriters: Steele, Jeffrey; Robson, Steve;
I can take the rain on the roof of this empty house
That don't bother me
I can take a few tears now and then and just let ?em out
I'm not afraid to cry every once in a while even though
Goin' on with you gone still upsets me
There are days every now and again I pretend I'm okay
But that's not what gets me
What hurts the most
Was being so close
And havin' so much to say
And watchin' you walk away
And never knowin'
What could've been
And not seein' that lovin' you
Is what I was tryin' to do
It's hard to deal with the pain of losin' you everywhere I go
But I'm doin' it
It's hard to force that smile when I see our old friends and I'm alone
Still harder gettin' up, gettin' dressed, livin' with this regret

But I know if I could do it over
I would trade, give away all the words that I saved in my heart
That I left unspoken
What hurts the most
Is being so close
And havin' so much to say
(Much to say)
And watchin' you walk away
And never knowin'
What could've been
And not seein' that lovin' you
Is what I was tryin' to do, oh
Oh yeah
What hurts the most
Was being so close
And havin' so much to say
(To say)
And watchin' you walk away
And never knowin'
What could've been
And not seein' that lovin' you
Is what I was tryin' to do
Not seein' that lovin' you
That's what I was trying to do, ooo
So this song has always been a personal favorite of mine from Rascal Flatts and I remember the first time I watched the actual video. It hits a person pretty hard because of the whole story line behind it. A high school couple is getting pretty serious and the boy before he leaves ask "what do you see" and the girl doesn't respond. In the video the boy gets killed in a car accident and the girl becomes this wreck, but seriously I would be the same way. She has cried so much she has made herself sick, she can't stand school because she just sees his empty desk and she is going down hill fast. Eventually she busts out of the house running down the road the boy had originally wrecked on and she answers his question and says "I see you". This video makes me not want to ever leave anything unsaid because you never know if you will have a tomorrow to say what you really want too. Even though these type of songs are used as more break up songs to me this song is much more than that. It's a song were you, in every way, actually lose the one you love. Know one wants to go through it but seeing it makes you appreciate everything you have right now and to always be thankful for it, to love it, and not waste the time you have.

Senior Year
So your senior year is supposed to be this fun filled time that your classes get easier, you get extra benefits, you have more time for the things you want to do. DEAD WRONG. Senior Year is one of the most stressful, busy, head racking time of year. To me it is definitely not one of my favorite years. My schedule is always full especially with all the sports that are going on. Keeping grades up, filling out scholarships, applying to a college, figuring out where your going to live and exactly what your going to do. Luckily for me I am a little ahead of the game but I am still feeling the anxeity of it all. I just want a break with no homework and nothing to be filled out in a certain time. Summer could not come fast enough that is for sure. As soon as summer is over with though all hell is going to break lose with school. Yet I am looking forward to it and looking forward to getting out of high school!!! So close I am counting the days and waiting patiently for that graduation day to come along!
