Nicki Minaj VS Amy Lee
Just by looking at theses female music icons clearly they bring a cartoon aspect to music, almost animated. Yet both are clearly very different in styles, but they both come from different forms of music. Nicki, the lively, spunky, bright colored female rap star obviously set a new standard in the rap world. She busted onto the scene with multiple features in music videos with some of the major performers of today and now does her own where she is having people come into her videos. Her fast paced music and upbeat ryhmes definitely can put you in a better mood. Also with her creative and cartoonish style definitely makes her stand out in room. Bright hair, bright clothes, along with the massive heels, tutu like dresses and on occassion skin tight clothes is everything but conservative! Clearly it doesn't bother her a bit.
Then we have Amy Lee, the quieter, mysterious, dark, female rockstar set the bar for modern female rockers today. She has had many hit songs, and albums released over the years. Unlike Nicki's music, Amy's can be extremely meaningful, sad, and the type of music that makes you think. In some though she's the determined woman that isn't going to let some man ruin her life. Which can be inspiring to many women who might be going through a hard time. Her music ranges from almost just her voice to an actual hardcore rock song. Her style is clearly darker and considerably more intimidating then Nicki who looks like a living barbie doll. Amy rocks the blacks, whites, and reds in most of her videos. Her black hair never changes colors and fits along with her pale skin. She's not scared to look different as well and rocks her own fashion!
These two are clearly opposites in every physical matter but they are alike in the fact that they are female music icons that raised the bar for female performers. These two are my favorites and I don't really like one more then the other but that is just because no other performers even compete with them too me. To me no one will ever catch up to either of these music powerhouses.
